Testicular ischemia associated with IgA vasculitis in a child: a case report and literature review

Testicular necrosis is a rare and severe complication of immunoglobulin A (IgA) vasculitis (IgAV). Herein, We report case 10-year-old boy who was admitted to the hospital due skin purpura intermittent abdominal pain for 10 days bilateral testicular 2 days. Scrotal ultrasonography indicated right testicle ischemia, epididymo-orchitis, hydrocele testis. surgical exploration revealed significant swelling darkening testicle. Conservative treatment led improvement in his condition, he discharged. During 3 months follow-up, there no recurrence or pain, urine tests were normal. Color ultrasound only partial blood flow signal tissue, which slightly smaller than left This highlights need continuous attention from clinicians signs symptoms reproductive system during diagnosis IgAV. Continuous monitoring with can aid early detection, diagnosis, lesions IgA vasculitis.
